Mahayana ritual

One of the main movements within Buddhism, the Mahayana, forms the basis of our back treatment with foaming gel. This cleansing ritual is followed by a massage with a nutritious and protective skin oil and warm stones are used to relax the muscles. Immerse yourself in the age-old customs of mystical Buthan.

The Ceylon Ritual consists of cleansing the back with a foaming gel and is followed by a massage with heated shea butter. This does more than hydrate the skin and stimulate blood circulation, because a loose scrub is added to the shea butter to remove dead skin cells. Finally, there is a fragrance experience with a refreshing body mist.

Shinshiro ritual

But in the Shinshiro region, where rice has been grown traditionally on the steep mountain slopes for at least 3,000 years, there was no room for a bathhouse in the small villages. This created the Shinshiro Treatment. This age-old, special wellness treatment starts with an extensive body cleansing as is customary in a Sentō. This is followed by an intensive massage with warm oil to prepare the mind for a good night's sleep. Finally, there is a refreshing body mist with the subtle scent of vanilla.

The Uyuni Ritual begins with cleansing the back using a foaming gel. This is followed by a massage with a heated Uyuni bundle based on salt, shea butter, coconut oil and eucalyptus. The treatment ends with a refreshing body mist.
